    Agreed. I don't get the sense this is supposed to be any kind of incredibly intense standoff or anything. It's probably just Loki going around and assessing the strengths of the individual Avengers early on.

    And plus, Loki never struck me in the previous movie as being all that scary or threatening anyway. He was just the wimpy, weasely kid brother who liked to strut around and pretend he was a badass. Not sure if that's how he's portrayed in the comics, but that's certainly what came through on screen.

    And this movie appears to be treating him the same way, which seems perfectly consistent. Of course Tony's not going to be intimidated by a guy like that.

    Kevin Feige's saying a Guardians of the Galaxy movie is happening, more Starfox than Vance Astro...

    it got canned after F4 II under performed.

    Whedon can be pretty ruthless when it comes to "killing his babies", ie cutting out perfectly good scenes for the good of the overall production. Maybe it'll be more suited to Cap 2.

    I'm surprised the video is posted even if it is a deleted scene. Unfortunately I can't watch it because my internet is especially slow today.

    The video is just a brief discussion about Cap and his role with the avengers. Mostly it has scenes from his movie and a very few from the new movie. It isn't the deleted scene.

    Whedon never shot that scene. He cut it from the screenplay.

    It'd probably be better off that way, anyway. There's likely going to be too much going on in The Avengers to fit something like that scene in, whereas it'd fit more organically in Cap 2.

    It's also one of those kind of scenes where you'd get more out of it if you had seen the first film. And I'm sure that's one of the reasons it got cut.

    I think they've said that the weren't going to be addressing a lot of the characters individual stories and issues that much in this one, so yeah they're probably saving that kind of stuff for Cap 2, just like they're saving the Thor/Jane Foster stuff for Thor 2.

    While my wife enjoys Sci/Fi and comics movies too, yep...

    I thought the original trailer material was a bit weird, but this longer cut makes more sense. It's a ruse, a feint before the punch.

    I think I'm done watching clips now. The Tony/Loki one was enough for me. The best thing about all of these clips, though, is it means we're only a couple of weeks away from the movie's release! :D
