Happy 47th Star Trek. Seems like no time that it was the 25th anniversary. My, how time does fly by.

I actually remember watching it that night, I was 2 months shy of 5 years old, but it made such a big impact on me, I was hooked, as was the rest of my family...we still are.

Am I getting old or are we celebrating a couple of days early?

In all my years of being a Trek fan, I had no idea Star Trek had originally premiered in my home country two days before it did in the US. That's awesome! :)

    Happy 47th, Star Trek!

Yes, Kelso, you're getting old--so old that you forgot to click on and read the article to which the original post was linked. ;)

Appropriate, since Canada gave us William Shatner and James Doohan, for which we are eternally grateful.

Trek is 47, and so am I. I'm not looking forward to our 50th.

Is there some hidden meaning to this thread, considering it invokes the magic number 47?

I am turning 50 next month...it isn't fun! I was 3 when Star Trek began but would have to wait 10 years before I watched.

Fifty didn't bother me much at all. I had more trouble with turning 35. Turning 60 however, was a real pain in the ass. On the bright side, I now qualify as an antique.

I have had some health problems this year. Nothing fatal but still some things I will need to live with for the rest of my days.
