Excellent! I never thought of that one but I could see it! My votes go for: -Worf and Crusher -Data and Yar -Picard and Doctor Pulaski -Archer and T'Pol And as for Uhura, she was far too fine for any of those dudes on the Enterprise!
Trip and Hoshi seemed to have a much more interesting dynamic in their few scenes together. Trip and T'Pol just seemed forced and shallow to me. I prefer for characters who end up together to have more of a friendship to begin with, which is a feeling I never got from Trip and T'Pol. Worf and Crusher, huh? Interesting idea. I've thought about Riker and Crusher before but not Worf...I kinda like it! If handled differently, I could also see B'Elanna and Vorik working out, as strange as it may sound.
Uhura and Scotty seemed to have a good chemistry. I enjoyed their affection for each other in Star Trek V.
Hoshi & Phlox. Ezri & Quark. Certainly more interesting than Bashir "finally getting Jadzia indirectly", and the Worf's initial resentment would've worked better with Quark as well. 7o9 & Janeway.
Sato and Mayweather on ENT. When she thought Travis was dead in ENT: "Dead Stop" she eulogizes him by relating a practical joke he played on her: having her trying to communicate with a "non-human lifeform" that turned out to be strawberry Jello! I always hoped the writers would make this a running plot thread where she would reciprocate on in some way, things would escalate, Archer would have to gently call them on the carpet ("Fun's fun, you two, but knock it off!) and eventually they'd decided they just really liked spending time together.
Well since the extent of his lines was pretty much "Aye sir", it's hard to tell. I do think Mayweather and Sato were a missed opportunity.
I've seen Montgomery in other productions, and he definitely could have pulled it off--but not as the one-dimesnsional Travis Mayweather.
