Well, since we don't have multiple questions anymore, we must make a separate topic for this rather important question. My vote goes to Romanadvoratrelundar I.
I just can't vote in this poll. I liked Romana II as a better companion to the Doctor. But Mary Tamm is a fox!!!! And nearly 30 years later she is still smoking!!!
I love both Romanadvoratrelundars. However, I'll give Mary Tamm a slight edge if for no other reason but because she played three different characters in The Androids of Tara.
Mary Tamm is a very beautiful woman. My preference is for Romana II. I really liked the vibe she and Tom Baker had.
And her daughter looks exactly like Mary did when she was on the show. To quote Captain Jack from Journey's End, "I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now..." Well, yes I can - "Tamm sandwich..."
I prefer the more regal, demanding Romana that Mary Tamm played. I feel like it provided a better, more dynamic relationship between the characters.
I'm far more familiar with Lalla Ward's Romana. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing any Romana I episodes when I was a kid, which is odd because I do remember Sarah Jane and Romana II, and Romana I comes in between. Anyway, BBC-K here just started towards the beginning of Tom Baker's run again (just saw "The Ark in Space" for the first time in ages!), so we'll see if Romana I eventually turns up. I do remember seeing one episode with her in recent years (I think it was in medeival-ish times, and there was a duplicate of her or something), but I haven't seen enough of her to have any opinion one way or the other. So v.2 wins by default.
I'm kinda hungry myself. At which point, I'll play that familiar tune of this thread is worthless without pictures!
