I'm blue, da ba de, da ba die

    Star Trek Into Darkness is very very blue, as opposed to Star Trek 2009 which thanks mostly to Vulcan was very Red and a warm colour palette.

    Has JJ Abrams stated why he made it so blue?

    My theory is that it is something to do with the 3D? Maybe blue is the best colour for that?

    Blue is also my favorite color. So there's that.

    Hmm. So what's the sequel's color palette going to be I wonder? Green? And would that be Borg Green or Romulan Green?

    Jaws has a lot of blue in it. :)

    Wow, very insightful articles there. I did not realise this was all over Hollywood now but I did almost certainly notice that STID took this orange and teal look to the extreme.

    I prefer the warmer tone of ST09 to the cold and sterile colours of STID and I hope the next movie has more colour in it than STID did and this is perhaps a possibility with a new director taking the helm but at the end of the day it is a minor nitpick :)

    I always felt Trek 09 was on the Blue tones of colors too.
