This is a game that was played here a couple of years ago, and it proved to be a lot of fun, spanning across each Trek series, as well as a great way to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Birthright II The only reason I liked part one was the DS9 crossover and Data's story. They dropped it completely in this one. And Shatner did the Klingon/Romulan colony thing much better in Ashes From Eden

Dropping Aquiel... just a boring episode, even if it is hilarious how Geordi blunders yet again with all women. Though I say even he can do better than her.

Weird... I'm finding it hard to pick one here, not because they're all great, or terrible, but that they're all somewhat equal. It was mostly between Realm of Fear or Suspicions. I think I'll shoot down Suspicions. Beverly doesn't hold this episode together very well. It's not awful, but I dislike it more than the others

Knocking out Rascals... let's turn the crew into kids, have Ferengi take over the Enterprise with stock footage, then have the kids save the day... what an awesome episode.... no.

I have to knock off A Fistful of Datas. The episode was okay but Data sounded like Bob Wheeler from Night Court.

Going to have to ditch "Ship in a Bottle" I've never cared for the Holmes episodes, and this one is no exception.

Incidentally, Ship in a Bottle won season six last time this game was played. :)

I'm booting Time's Arrow (II), never been a fan of that two parter or Samuel Clemens.

Weird, I always considered season 6 a weaker season than 3-5, but I'm finding it hard to knock an episode off. These are all decent episodes.

I vote Chain of Command (I). I haven't seen this in a while, but it felt like the whole episode was Riker bitching about Jellico, and Picard/Crusher/Worf fumbling through caves. Part 2 was a much better episode.

Birthright was a terrible two-parter, happy to wipe it off.
The second part was unbelievably boring and the first part...well, what was it even about? I forget...some dream crap and Worf stuff. Also if they were gonna go to DS9 for the only time in the show, couldn't they do something a bit more exciting?

I'm removing Rightful Heir. The story is just unbelievably ridiculous. And you'd think that a clone of Kahless serving as the figurehead emperor would have some lasting repercussions in the Empire, but he got one throwaway mention in a later episode and was never seen or heard from again.

I feel bad but I'm booting Face of the Enemy. I generally like Troi episodes and thought it was a good concept but I thought the Romulans were astonishingly foolish. I mean, Troi was a bad choice - she has a Betazoid accent (possibly, could never wor hat out. But no Romulan has that accent) and the Betazoid black eyes which they left when they changed her face. Also, after the initial shock of looking like a Romulan, she barely protests that she's been kidnapped, drugged, had her face changed and is being forced to impersonate a Romulan.

Descent (I) The season-ending cliffhangers dipped in quality each time. BOBW was excellent, Redemption was great, Time's Arrow was OK, and Descent was ho-hum. Once again, the Borg are downgraded into just another alien race, and Data spends the whole episode confused. And once again, Lore plays Data for a sucker (more of that in Part 2).

I'm going to drop "Realm of Fear", seriously biting worm things in the transporter stream? even though you're broken into atoms and cannot perceive anything (which would require your brain and sensory organs to be assembled), and thus you and the "worms" should just be bits in a matter stream.
