    I ask you.

Let me touch the hand that touched Joel, Frank and Clayton Forrester.

I'm trying to introduce my kids to things like this early, trying to give them the advantages I didn't have growing up. A lot of the 'things' I'm into, I had major interest in as a child but parents who couldn't or wouldn't afford me the opportunities. I didn't goto my first museum until I was an adult, didn't have my first telescope until I was an adult.

When we did touchups my tattooist added a fibonacci spiral and it is now my favorite part, especially the way it curls when I bend my elbow:

Not to a museum, growing up I went to Catholic school and there were very few if any field trips.

^ Every school is different, and I don't want people to get the wrong impression here. My kids are going to Catholic school too, but they go on quite a few field trips. My 8th grader just got back from a week-long one to Dauphin Island!

I went to public school in the eighties and early nineties and field trips to museums and learning facilities were commonplace back then. We must have visited the local science and history museums at least, oh, once a year it seems. There was a concerted effort to get kids out of their classrooms and school walls on a regular or at least semi-regular basis to experience learning elsewhere, and it was made as fun as possible to keep us engaged.

I took biology class involving dissection and remember the sights and smells pretty well. Trust me, I won't click if I'm eating.

back when I was in high school and we dissected frogs, the preservatives used had an overpowering stench. The rats though, if I was really close looking at small stuff like the thyroid gland, I noticed a slight hint of formaldehyde, but otherwise I didn't smell anything. The technology has come a long way in the past 13 years i guess.

Well, my lab partner regularly butchers deer carcases and I was a serial killer back in the '70s, so we knew what we're doing.

I was in high school between 1989 and 1992, and back then let's just say a biology class lab setting could be pretty....pungent. I guess I graduated before some of the more recent developments were put into effect for students.

It had nothing to do with "butchering" skills. The rats I saw always had weird residues, clumpy fluids in its gut.

    Would you riff me?

They just opened a Dave & Busters in the big mall here. While strolling thru the mall today, I noticed they posted these rules and dress code for entering. I found them mildly amusing…

Seems a little on the biased side.
