Got a message on my Wii from Nintendo. It says that the Internet Channel can now be downloaded for 0 Wii Points (free), instead of the previous cost of 500. If you already spent the 500 points on it, no problem! At the end of October, those who had pereviously purchased the Internet Channel for 500 Points will be allowed to download the 500-point NES game of their choice for free. I found a link, for those interested: CNET article
Actually Flash Lite 3.1, which is version 8. This was a pretty good move on Nintendo's part, charging money for a web browser just isn't going to work very well. I got it back when it was free so it's no big deal for me. I actually do use my web browser, sometimes instead of checking my computer in the morning I'll just quickly check a few site on the Wii web browser before playing some games.
I downloaded the browser. It was a neat toy for a few minutes. It wouldn't be so bad with a wireless keyboard.
