Found one at B+N in Rochester, MI. Still feel somewhat treasonous shopping at that place as my wife was an 18 year employee at Borders.

Was up last night till 1:00 AM reading it. Not to get spoilery, but I figured out the minor revelation about the stowaway (but not the major one).

Is it just me or did the Enterprise on the cover look somewhat "generic"? As if the artist couldn't decide on "classic", "refit" or "JJverse" and kind of went with all three.

Picking this one up on Tuesday for my Nook. Love time travel / bending adventures. Have high hopes for this one.

You know, I can see that. Smart marketing move if that were the case.

I've had the book less than thirty hours, and I'm already past the halfway point. Very compelling story.

    . . . time marches on . . .

Wow. What a ride! That was the fastest I've chewed through 370 pages in a long time.

    Got a copy!

I like it: interesting exploration of Trek history and a reconciliation with our present, nice to see the solar system in the Trekverse, good to see the TOS crew in their prime.

Up to chapter thirteen, so far I'm liking where this is going. A few things caught me, some names I shall not mention got my attention.

Finished it at lunch today. I thought it was a good book, but I had an idea about
two of the characters as soon as they were introduced. To me, I just knew that they were either related in some way or that was the same person who belonged to a long lived species or a time traveler. - Not entirely correct though

    I'd recommend it:bolian:

Nice review. When I read the book in manuscript, I did the same thing you did -- as per Quantum Leap, Stargate, and other shows with "body-switching," I visualized Kirk when it was Kirk inside Col. Christopher (unless the scene was from another character's POV), and vice-versa. My mental casting choice for Shaun Christopher was Ben Browder.
