It's pretty goddamn ridiculous that the guy's been there for, what, three seasons now (I think this is his fourth), and they haven't done a thing to improve that offensive line.

Agreed. The offensive line just looked brutal, even against a defense that seemed just as unimpressive last week as it was last year.

But Cutler just didn't seem to care.

I was really pulling for the Bears to win simply because having the Packers start 0-2 would have made my year (don't have a lot to cheer for).

I guess all I can hope for now is a Lions loss. That way if the Vikes defeat Indy, I can actually say they're in first place for what will most likely be the only time in years.

You like the Pats and puppies? Where have you been all my life??

As for the Thursday game, I have Time Warner, who doesn't get along with the NFL channel. I did get the points for picking the Pack in a pool I am in.

The Cardinals are coming to town this weekend. The last time they played at NE I was there in a blizzard with a broken foot and NE dropped 47 on them. It was a lost season but a fun game.

I thought the O line situation was going to change with Phil Emery arriving and Jerry Angelo leaving. Emery did things Angelo completely failed to do in beefing up the receiving corps and bringing in some depth in Michael Bush and Jason Campbell. Yet he completely ignored the O line which needed even more help than any other positions. I don't get the latter at all considering a completely shitty O line negatively affects every other aspect of the game.

I don't root for people to get hurt, but I will make an exception for him.

Also, the Pats station out of Hartford I used to listen to is now a gospel station. Damn.

The game must be fun to watch for you then, he's getting beaten up on literally almost every single snap.

I'm stuck watching Giants-Bucs. Only game on here.

I know you live somewhere in the middle of Europe, yet you still get better NFL coverage than me. This is not improving my mood.

As for Vick, what makes him great is also what makes him unreliable.

I'm watching on illegal streams usually. I only get one of the 4pm games live on free tv every week.

eta: and btw. the Eagles suck. I can't believe it's still 7:7, the Ravens should be leading by two touchdowns the way the Eagles are playing.

Hypothetically speaking, you know of any stream a guy in Poughkeepsie could get?

Also, as a Patriots fan, I never mind when the Ravens could lose.

Is American football popular there? Or do you just like a game where they only kick every fourth time?

I'm equally amazed by how popular it is here and how not popular it is everywhere else.

It's reasonably popular. Certainly a minority interest, but many of the people who do follow the sport are very vocal about it, and popularity is clearly growing.

eta: lol, that's what, the fourth turnover from the Eagles, the fifth? What a joke.

So much for the "dream team" in the second year of their dynasty.

It's hilarious how Vick constantly switches between excellence and debacle. Not so funny for my fantasy league though and not for the Eagles fans either I'm sure.

The only person to say that is no longer on the team.

Great catch by DeSean Jackson, crappy turnover on the next play. Game is still tied.

ETA: Yeah, my blood pressure has gone through the roof.

    These poor, poor replacement officials.

Glad they caught that Saints fan before he got to ref the Saints game. What an idiot.

2 people left in our Survival league.

Wow, just wow. The Eagles have 9 turnovers, but are 2-0.

Vikes are even worse than I thought they were going to be.

Next week against San Francisco is going to be brutal. :(

Seriously, these replacement refs can go get fucked.

The Rams/Redskins game is a disgrace.
