I've come across a number of awesome Star Trek "spoofs" on YouTube. The most famous being comedic vocal syncs by Day Job Orchestra. I also came across an awesome remix song that uses sounds from TNG to make a song. What's everyone's take on these (Insulting/awesome)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNKqJiMfkUs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIXId7SUMbU&feature=channel_video_title
The DJO ones are extremely silly, but lots of fun... especially when you get to the later ones where they come up with better substitutions. But for classic gag reels, you've got to see the ones created by Spockboy.
The one, the only, the infamous NIN TOS errr...tribute? Whatever it is, it's brilliant. And as NSFW as it gets without having actual porno inserted (I mean above the level of conscious awareness). PURE! GENIUS!
It's been a while since something on YouTube made me laugh so hard I was literally in pain, but wow...if only TNG had been like that. Eh....he should stick with the random/acid/owl worshipping approach. VOY would be a particularly fruitful target.
That brings back memories! Thank you for the link! To enjoy this parody, you need to realize that it was made in the '70s, and naturally uses '70s pop culture references, not to mention Canadian political references. For example, two of the children in the sketch - Justin and Sascha - are the names of two of then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's sons. They were just little kids then; nowadays Justin is a Member of Parliament and Sascha is a journalist.
Here's another one that I found that's pretty cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tDcPbCGQcU&feature=relmfu
Heeey this thread is back. I guess this is the place for this: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FjzFHyjhVI&[/yt]
