While he was in charge of Terok Nor during the war, Dukat never seemed to let go of that ball. Surely he must have had a slip of curiosity to see how that ball connected with the rest of the "baseball" phenomena.

So if this so... Who did Dukat play?

    Historical figures or Sisko?

Or did he play along side Sisko as best friends on the same team?

And after the Federation retook the Station, did Dukat leave a holographic team of himself and "friends" to challenge Sisko?

Pft, Dukat's holographic team would've been 8 other replicas of himself. :p

I somehow doubt Dukat bothered to learn the game and spend THAT much time in the holosuite with a baseball. I wouldn't be surprised to read a short story about Dukat taking an evening off to watch one of Sisko's baseball holoprograms, though...

Could you imagine a brief pause in the war as Dukat challenges Sisko to a game on nuetral ground?

Which would be like the Soccer Match between Germany and England in no-mans-land Christmas Day 1914.

I now have the infernal image of Dukat's Field of Dreams stuck in my head.

Dukat was probably an umpire, like Joe West.

Is he going to have Kira's mom on the sidelines as a cheerleader?

 Dukat's ego would probably allow for that.

Imagine Take Me Out To The Holosuite with Dukat issuing a challenge instead of Solok. That would be hilariously stupid, while almost making some degree of sense...

    I reckon basketball.
The next time he's at a convention, can someone ask Marc Alaimo next time he's taking questions? It would be good to know for sure.

Let's just hope Dukat doesn't try to sing along during the seventh inning stretch. He'd probably sound like this:

I dunno, I see Dukat learning to play baseball just so once he captures Sisko he can let him out for a quick game, with the holodeck programmed to make him win.

Haha, I could see him having a holoumpire alter the Strike zone and calls in his favor. :p

I wonder if games in the future might look like this:

Haha, that's pretty cool. Reminds me kinda of that old NES game called base wars where robots were playing baseball. :p

The more important question is, how long would Dukat carry on after getting beaten by the Niners, about how the Bajorans should build statues to commemorate his manufactured victory over his friend, the Emissary.

He'd also probably stop between each time at bat to give a monologue about his performance in the game and how the Bajorans should be thankful he let them watch their benefactor spend time with the Emissary.

Well, Dukat was under quite a bit of pressure to get that mine field down, so Weyoun and the Changeling would have probably not been to happy if he were whittling away the hours in the holosuite.

That said, if he DID find the time to visit the holosuite, he would have had access to a fully functioning Komananov hologram - if he were only aware.

If it were an option, he may not have had to think about baseball.
