The Quatermass movies were pretty hard on London, too. And let's not forget Lifeforce!

And with every important metropolis destroyed, Berlin becomes the new capital of Earth. ;)

    Riiiiiight.

Dollars to doughnuts it's the nekkid chick, Mathilde May. Those of you in the know will smile and nod in appreciation of that buxom young lady who remains blessedly nude throughout the movie. Those of you NOT in the know, www.celebritymoviearchive.com is your friend. :)

    Enjoy your Friday.

Courtesy of the Ice Warriors, (at least in the Virgin Doctor Who books).

One thing I like about this forum... we start off discussing the destruction of London in a new Trek movie, we end up diverting into hooking Christopher on The Goodies!

Oh yes. When it first ran on ITV over here, they were experimenting with having slightly wacky in-vision nighttime presenters: Paul Lavers (aka Swordsman Farrah in Doctor Who: The Androids of Tara) solemnly announced "Well I didn't think those Martian vampires were all bad. They certainly had a couple of good points..."

On a sadder note, this seems an appropriate thread to mention that astronomer, musician, SF writer and frequent Goodies guest star Sir Patrick Moore has just died.
