All I Got Left is My THREAD BOMBS!

They are little spinning tops that kids launch at each other to fight. Or at least that's what they are supposed to do. These kids probably used the bathtub as a "stadium" instead of their parents shelling out the money to buy the big plastic dish they call a "stadium."

It's basically Pokemon with tops instead of cute little "animals."

 

Yup, they went through our house, almost literally, about a year ago.

Was glad to see them lose popularity...

 

It's barely started for us. Just since right before Christmas. I recently instituted a "No Beyblades outside of your room" policy. His room is carpeted, so it's harder to damage the walls and it would also encourage him to use the stadium we bought.

Boy Meets World?

 

I try to have a sense of humor about things, but I still can't help but thinking about things like this. My wife once showed me a video of some kids opening presents on Christmas morning and they unwrapped an Xbox and, of course, went nuts. Until they opened it and it was empty/filled with something stupid. I asked my wife where the Xbox was and she said it's not anywhere. I told her that when those parents get Menendez'ed, this will be why, and she agreed.

Sorry, but no. Trolling your kids can only go so far before it becomes mental abuse. Like I said, I can laugh at a lot of things (like the previous picture of the kid getting creamed by the giant ball: that's funny because it's not intentionally abusive). I hate to be the Debbie Downer bringing threads like this down, but I also hate letting things like this go unsaid.
