Marvel planning Guardians of the Galaxy movie!

Wasn't South Korea one of the countries where Captain America: The First Avenger was retitled The First Avenger? I was surprised by that because I had thought Koreans liked the U.S. enough to not be bothered by the name "Captain America".

(only annoying thing is the "Disney's Star Wars" at the end. Do people really think it's gonna say that when VII is released? They do know that Disney owns Marvel too, and there hasn't been a "Disney's Thor" or "Disney's Captain America" has there?



As for "Return of the First Avenger", wasn't that only in countries that, well, don't really like America that much? And putting "America" in the title was thought to be bad for business

 

The Return of the First Avenger was the title in Germany. The title wasn't widely used. The film had "Captain America" in the title in almost all international territories, with the title being Captain America: The Return of the First Avenger in a few cases.

 

Which was a pain in the neck, because it was on Pay-Per-View for a while before I realized I should have been looking under M rather than A.

I saw the GOTG style Star Wars trailer over on IO9, and I loved it.
I don't get why they'd change The Winter Soldier's title. I can see them getting rid of the Captain America part, but why did they get rid of The Winter Soldier? Couldn't they have just called it Marvel's The Winter Soldier, or even The First Avenger: The Winter Solider?

Peter Quill was how old when he made that tape or had it gifted to him?

 

Depends on when he was born. The character in the comics would be 5-10 years older than me if he aged normally; so, about 60. Most of those songs come from the early-to-mid 70s. The most recent of them is the "Pina Colada" song (my least favorite on the list) and came out in either 79 or 80, if memory serves.

 

That would put him in his 40s, give or take.

 

For the recrod though, that's not BJ Thomas' version of Hooked On A Feeling, so the tape could've been put together in the late '80s.

 

It could have been put together yesterday. However, if it was the 80s, chances are he'd have more 80s hits on there. Younger kids aren't really known for their preference for their parent's musical tastes.
