So, what was David Mack's big announcement from Shore Leave...the one that would make Trek fans very happy?? He mentioned it in an interview about the convention.
Living in the Baltimore suburbs, Shore Leave is and has always been the closest convention to me. But also the most bloody expensive. As much as I'd love to meet you all, I've never been able to afford it, or justify the expense even if I had the money. Hope you all have a great time, though.
It is pricey, but it's my only shot to meet Shatner (he is not getting any younger) so it's a Father's Day / Birthday present. Do you go to Farpoint or the Baltimore Comicon TJ?
Looking at the photos in that artical, David Mack, KRAD and Greg Cox all come across like the friendly chaps they do on here.
Oh, if I hadn't already seen Shatner, I would've sold something to be able to buy a membership for this. But I was lucky that my parents and I got to see him in Valley Forge years ago. Glad you're going to get the chance! I've been to Farpoint several times, though it's been a few years now, and rarely miss Baltimore Comic-Con.

Wow, that was above and beyond the call of duty! Thanks. A couple of personal notes: I see that I'm scheduled for two panels at 10 am Saturday. Sadly, I'll probably have to skip the movie soundtrack panel to do the WH13 panel. Also, there's some uncertainty about that 2 pm TOS panel on Sunday. It's listed on the Pocket Program but not on the main Sunday grid, so it may be a glitch.
I like the way the people doing the program think I can be in two places at once. *sigh* Also it's unclear when the podcasting panel is exactly. Anyhow, I'm going to be doing the Boogie Knights concert at 11am on Saturday, and I'm doing the self-defense workshop Saturday at 6pm (sign up at registration! limited to 20 people! it'll be awesome!), and those both supersede anything I might be listed as being on. Also I'm participating in the "Sci-Fi Squares" riff on Hollywood Squares Friday evening.
They probably expect that you and Greg know how to create a transporter double/clone/holographic representation simply because you write Star Trek/SciFi. I was wondering about that. Seemed strange to have the same panel three times within such a short time.
