Just read A+X. I have no idea what just happened. Not something I'll be anticipating every issue.

Probably can blame John Cassaday for the delay for Uncanny Avengers. This had been expected by fans anyway. I'll be sticking with it out of loyalty to Remender, but if those delays continue to be anything significant I will probably end up dropping it.

I didn't even bother with A+X to be honest. The first issue was like a weird team up issue that featured time travel or something like that. I was expecting it to be another "Bridging book" but really the only book that you need for that was "AVX: Consequences" which IMO is the perfect epilogue book to "Avengers Vs X-Men".

Fantastic Four #1: Oh dear...this is on the bubble of being dropped already, as I expected. I'm not really sure what to say about this. Mark Bagely's art is typical Bagely goodness. Fraction's writing though...I miss Hickman already. New uniforms without explanation (Hickman actually took the time to explain the FF uniforms). I'll give this one more issue.

    Continuity porn question.

When/where/what issue number did Old Hank timeslide into?

(I googled, alas no pertinent results.)

It's before the flashy Neil Adams costumes which means it kicks in well before the cancellation.

But the Professor is still alive and not preparing for the Zonx invasion.

I didn't recognize the period either. Didn't Hank leave the X-Men to get his degree at some point? I honestly don't remember.

Adams only designed the blue and white Angel costume. The others were the "graduation" uniforms from Werner Roth's run. (issue #39 back in 1967) So it has to be prior to that. I seem to recall Hank and Bobby having a run in with some mutant haters in the blue and gold uniform era.

The letter scott was writing was probably a huge clue, but my eyes glaze over whenever I see cursive.

That was just Scott trying to tell Jean he's in love with her. He did that almost every issue.

I want to see the moment where Cable calls Jean "Mom".

    :)

Hank replaced the original X-Men with dopplegangers before taking them out of time.

Hank plans on eventually wiping the original X-Men's memories and returning them at some point.

Hank collected the original X-Men from a parallel time line that is not the 616 continuity and doesn't have to return them, and their removal has no effect on the 616 present.

That is if Nathan even appears in the book...we might not see him until Cable and X-Force begins in Feb.

Cable was in something last month, he gave Hope a pep talk when she was all glum.

Which could have just been a psychotic break for all we know?

That was "AVX: Consequences #5" and that conversation set up "Cable and X-Force" of which Hope will be a member with her father.

Thor: God of Thunder #1 was pretty much everything I expected...meaning it was awesome. I'll be following this.

If I recall correctly, Bendis said in an interview that it was sometime within the first ten or so issues.

At that pedigree, entry level characters, even Power Pack could kick their ass.

Although in my mind Jack Power could take out a tag team effort from Wolverine and the Hulk.

Someone needs to give John Cassaday a swift kick in the ass. You can always count on a book he draws to be delayed and delayed and delayed. His art is fantastic, but my god man, learn to meet your deadlines!

I didn't read Astonishing X-Men at the time but was that horrifically delayed?

FF #1 was just alright for me. Av Ass #9 was also pretty ho-hum. With Bendis gone it already feels like a superfluous book.

There were some pretty big delays that were irritating at the time.

Sounds about right, since Jean is wearing the standard mask and not the pointy one from later issues.

Those entry level characters defeated Magneto in their first outing.
