Hi all, I spoke to Connor Trinneer a few days ago for TrekCore.com He was very candid about what he thought worked and didn't in Enterprise, the cancellation, the studio, his colleagues - some really interesting stuff! Check it out: http://www.trekcore.com/interviews/connortrinneer_interview.html
Cool interview, thanks for posting it here. I'm glad you asked about the decon chamber. I think if I'd been on the show, of all the things in it the decon chamber probably would have been the one to make me stop and think, "What the hell?!"
This was a great interview, thanks for posting. I find his comments on season three very interesting. I enjoyed the entire Xindi arch very much - perhaps because of the underlying theme. Interesting to hear he found it difficult for the same reason.
Boy, a few things stand out: * He was the one who gave Trip a Texan accent. Sad the writers didn't take the accent into account. * Mr. Trinneer doesn't like science fiction?! * Decon chamber: I imagine it's embarrassing. Fun interview to read. I haven't really seen him since Enterprise, but hoping he and the rest of the gang make it big.
I'm very curious why Paramount execs didn't want any of the cast directing episodes. Did they think it would give the actors some sort of clout in negotiations?
