    Desert Crossing.

Probably the most homoerotic Enterprise episode.

    "The Naked Time" this morning.

Nice use of entire ensemble, I note this time around. Even with two showy guest-turns by Tormleon (sp?) and Riley, and big emotional breakdowns for both Kirk and Spock, all the regulars get some attention. Uhura and Yeoman Rand even get to take the helm at various points!

This is one of the episodes I'm most looking forward to from the coming TNG-R season two set. :techman:

Is There in Truth No Beauty? (TOS). I never understood how a box full of colored lights could be ugly enough to drive humanoids mad.

Well, being exposed to some forms of pattern light can cause seizures in some folks...

I assume it was more than just flashing lights; more like strange Lovecraftian "colours" that were beyond human understanding and perception. (As I recall, they used a similar effect to denote the indescribable, sanity-rending weirdness of THE DUNWICH HORROR, back in the old Sandra Dee movie.)

Or, more likely, they were going for some sort of LSD trip visual. (Hey, it was the sixties, man!)
