I don't think it's THAT bad. Gene Hackman plays a very awesome SOB. Then there's Constantine. The Hunt for Red October. Battle Beyond The Stars. And Amish Mafia.
There's nothing guilty pleasure about The Hunt for Red October. It's one of the best movies of it's time.
I guess the crowd I hang with doesn't "get" the movie. I seem to be the only one interested in watching it when it reruns.
I would also say "The Hunt For Red October" wouldn't be classed as a guilty pleasure movie, as it was a critical and commercial success.
I have this weird thing for the movie "Space Milkshake" I mean what isn't awesome about George Takei playing a giant space rubber duck?
