Hehehe. It's true that I prefer the sea over mountains but I also spent nearly half my life in the south so a setting in the mountain isn't exotic to me at all.
Still. I made an assumption. I have embarrassed myself and deserve a severe tar and feathering. At least you have interesting mountains to look at. The mountains here are dull, brown, and not all that impressive.
If memory serves. I Think it is The Ten Commandments that usually hits right around Easter. I could be mistaken because I haven't watched either since I was a kid.

When I was growing up King Kong (the original) was played once a year at thanksgiving and was our traditional "Event". Now that's a movie everyone should see!! Incredibly atmospheric.
When I was growing up, the re-make came out (mid 70's). I remember looking forward to getting a chance to visit the twin towers when I got older. Never imagined that I wouldn't get the chance. Gee, thanks.
I'm joking here in case I have to actually spell it out. The remake was fun but the original King Kong was incredible.
I know that, thus the . I'm not sure if I've seen it in its entirety, but from what I've seen of the three, I would go: Original, J.Black Remake, 70's remake.
I saw the stage version on Broadway and the movie when it first came out, and then never again until I subscribed to Netflix. I enjoy it now as much as I remembered from my teens.
^^ I've seen the stage version a couple of times at my local theater. Ah, the original King Kong. One of my top five movies of all time.
Not happy to not be (friendly)crushing on anyone this year. Crushing makes life sweeter. Well, I've had a ten year long crush here, but I don't think that's what this thread is about. I guess I really am "middle-aged"...
In my country, the film version was part of the national broadcast schedule in the event of a nuclear war. True story: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/m...they-dont-want-you-to-know-about-2121187.html
I wonder if I should send anonymous pink roses out. No one will know if they are from me or someone else!
