Heya everyone, thought I might post some updates on my blog about upcoming comics projects from IDW, including a new TNG series called "Ghosts" and an anthology entitled "Captain's Log"--plus some additional info on the new DS9 series, and more.

Been waiting for CSI to somehow come into the fold of Star Trek. Glad to see that the Ghots mini series will do that in a way.

Sounds good. Really excited about DS9 and Captain's Log. Doing stories on Jellico, Sulu, or Garrett would be awesome. There are quite a few captains I would reading more about:

    Robert April
    John Harriman
    Clark Terrell
    Willard Decker
    Garth of Izar
    Tryla Scott
    Robert DeSoto
    Donald Varley
    Silva LaForge
    Walker Keel
    Rixx
    Keogh
Leyton (I want a Tzekenthi War story darn it!)

Overall Trek teased us with a lot of cool guest captain guest stars that left me wanting to learn/read more about them. Hopefully I'll get to do that in the Captain's Log series.

I would love if IDW does go ahead with an ongoing Trek series, preferably one with a never-before-seen Trek crew or a relatively unexplored era of (original universe) Trek ala Marvel's Early Voyages...

I second that. I would love to see IDW do their own unique Trek ongoing series, like Pocket has done with stuff like Vanguard, etc. Comics focused on the crews we know have been done to death.

I'd certainly be up for an ongoing Trek series. I'd rather see it be an original series like Early Voyages, or Starfleet Academy, but wouldn't be totally against a TV based series.

I wouldn't mind a "Lost Era" series, set during the period before Next Gen started

I would love an ongoing series, some of the mini-series that IDW have done suffered as the story was confined to 110 pages.

I agree with everyone's comments here that it should be an original series, allowing the writers to develop thier own tone of the series. Early Voyages and Starfleet Academy are two of the best series as they were able to develop on thier own and introduce some new characters. I would love to see this happen at IDW.

or you could tie PAD down for an ongoing New Frontier series ;-)

I'd like an original series, or hell, even an AbramsTrek ongoing series.

All of that sounds pretty interesting, especially the Captain's Log concept. And to echo some of the above posters, I'd love to see IDW launch an ongoing Trek series. But sorry, I will never pay $75 to $100 for a hardcover collection of Countdown and Nero. Not because of the content, but just because that price point is too rich for me.

So, *ahem*... Ghosts will be the first-ever Cannon Star Trek comic, then?
