when the eye started crying.

 

It teared up and began

 

crying, releasing so much salt water

 

that the ship's arboretum had

 

become a saltwater swamp. It

 

grew much hotter and more

 

humid. The eye missed its

 

optic nerve, but was quite

 

lonely for its companion eye.

 

McCoy attempted to retrieve them

 

but the other eye beamed

 

with a heat ray that

 

disintegrated a redshirt in the

 

arboretum who was picking flowers.
