For my birthday this year I got a Rocky dressing gown, so that's my now default costume for any fancy dress party
OK, I think it's time for a re-post of Halloween 1977 ... Made entirely by myself ... with no helpful freeze-frame DVD player, BTW. I sat in the movie theatre and took sketches by hand! Oh yeah, I made the fanboys drool when I was 16.
Thought of going a a big Dick but why spend $60 on something you'll only wear once. I'll find something else.
Thanks! It was pretty cool, but I think my Andorian from the previous year was still the best (full-on blue skin makeup!) But unfortunately I don't have any good photos.
I vaguely recall seeing a pic like that ... Were you playing a guitar at a con? Or was that a different time you were an Andorian?
I said "good photos"! That one was from before the costume was completed (and the make-up wasn't nearly as good as the final version). I actually got interviewed for the local TV station when I was in full costume once, but no one had VCRs back then so I never got a copy of the tape. Alas. I eventually had to quit doing it because I developed an allergy to the make-up, but it really did look authentic. I had tights in the perfect shade of blue, silver lamé top, and awesome knee-high black boots and a skirt with a slit all the way up my thigh. Here's the half-assed pic anyway:
I'm in love. That is fantastic!!!! And how adorable are you!!?!?!? TJ, GREAT costume!! How did you get the antlers (im sorry, the correct word is totally escaping me right now, damn mad cow disease) to stay on and up?
My nephews/nieces and I last year I really liked AstroSmurf's take on the blue Star Trek uniform last year. Could you please post pics again?
Here's a better picture of the Tobias Funke costume from '08, as well as the fun but not quite adventurous "James Bond" costume from 2001.
Thanks but I still don't want to post them. (Let me think about it. Truthfully, I have sworn off posting images of myself on the open board.)
Well, okay. As I recall, you did spend a lot of time and energy working on the Starfleet logo for the shirt, the belt strap, the holster, etc.
My costume for this year is ready, save one thing that I hope ships to my home in time for the holiday.
3 years ago I was sad Mother Nature: 2 years ago I was Evil Willow inspired (Willow from Buffy) And last year I was Ziggy Stardust: This year (as you all must've seen the photo by now ) I'll go as Janeway.
