Rock Band 2 confirmed a day ago due to a poll asking people to choose the next box art... and it appears to be listed in game store databases as a November 08 release. If they have song creation, I'm not even going to bother with GH4/WT. Woot. :)

I'll pick up GH4, just for to have more songs to play, but only if I can pick up just the game and not the instruments. Even though I don't think the rock band drums will work with it, I'm not keeping 2 sets of drums around.

I do want the Union Jack'd guitar that the guy played in the demo though.

Yeah, I'm not going to buy a freaking second drum kit. Too bad MS and Sony are just going to roll over and let them do this shit. Not bad enough that there are two consoles that are almost the same, now there are going to be three damn drum kits on the market.

    What's the 3rd drunk kit?

Konami's Rock Revolution drum kit. They haven't decided whether or not to allow interoperability with other guitars, although at their demo they were apparently using Les Pauls. Either way, three drums this holiday season... yippie!

FYI, for you 360 owners who buy a lot of the downloadable music (I'm wondering if I've spent more on DLC than the actual game at this point), Circuit City is selling Xbox Live 1600-point cards for $15 this week.

^ You can buy them online. Get two of them and shipping is free. Use something like Ebates and get a small percentage back.

Too bad US cards don't work in Canada... and points are still more expensive up here than down there.

I had a go on this last night with some drunk friends and really enjoyed it. I've never played any such thing before.

I didn't like the guitar but that is probably the snobby guitarist in me, but I loved the drum kit. OK it only lets you use one foot, I think a 2 pedal setup would be great for the really hard settings, but apart from that it is a pretty good introduction to rhythm basics, it's a lot like playing a real electronic kit.

My friend had downloaded Interstate Love Song as well which was great fun to sing.

    Yes! A7X!

Know what would make a great song: "Hall of Mountain King" by Savatage and "Hail and Kill" by Manowar
