I feel like, when a show lasts that long, they should be entitled to a warning so they can have a proper finale. Fortunately, it appears the writers suspected as much so it'll have a legit ending. I never really watched the show except right at the beginning, but it had as good run.
I'm disappointed - my family only got into the show during the 4th season, so for me it feels like it is going before its time. But I guess at least I still have episodes to catch up on from the first three seasons.
Well, as the USA network's president said: So maybe we'll see more at some point. I just wish Maggie Lawson had gotten a better (and longer lasting) show than Back in the Game.
That's too bad. While I wasn't a faithful viewer, I enjoyed the episodes that I did watch. This is one that I'll go back and try to catch them all through Netflix.
Yeah, after last night's episode Roday and Hill came on to thank the fans and say to stay tuned for the final 5 episodes. It was a great show, but definitely starting to feel played out by this point.
Pretty much knew this was coming but it was bad news in our house even so. Our whole family loves the show. Kids dance like crazy to the theme.
Fun, fun show. I was hoping for one more mini season but this isn't shocking, and I think the writers knew it was coming. Plus I have a feeling there will be a TV movie every year or two.
After 8 years is it really cancelling or just putting it out of its misery? I used to be a big fan of the show but the premise got old and repetitive.
2 things. 1. Mentalist mugged The Black List and is now raping that for new ideas. 2. Seasons of the Mentalist are longer by almost a third than Psych.
That show is awful but that's not why Psych started to fade. How many times can we see Shawn put his fingers to his head and act like an ass before we realize he's really is kind of an ass?
In the interest of full disclosure, I don't watch either show. I was just curious about the Psych finale. But... 1). The Mentalist already has more episodes produced than Psych will have when its series finale airs. 2). The Mentalist is already in Season 6. It is not unreasonable to think they could go two more seasons.
Shawn's asshattery was really bad in season 6. Luckily the writers seemed to notice they'd gone too far and reigned it back in.
This week, every one was telling him frankly that he was a parasite. Calling him an asshat is suggesting that he has a choice. He's definitely got undiagnosed issues that should put him in a padded room. The way things are going, with money being so tight, I can see Sean justifying the murder of people so that he can earn money pinning the crime expertly on other people. Which is crazy, because if you murder the right person just right at the right time, you can make an enormous amount of money. (Can you see Shawn teaching a class called "Murder School: How to get away with it!"?)
Yeah it has more episodes, it's on a network. It will most likely get canceled this season, I doubt it will make it to 8 seasons... yet Weeds did and that was 5 seasons too many.
Well renewal overcoming cancellation is righteous. Charlie Sheen's "new" show is "half-way" through it's second season. Season 2 has had 49 episodes so far, after a 10 episode first season. So 8 times the suits have got together and said to Psych ""Give me a reason not to whack you, ya stoopid gombah?" Mentalist has only done that 6 times. The Michael J Fox show was cancelled the other day.
Exactly. Charlie Sheen's show had a 10 episode first season, but a second season pick up of 89-90 more episodes. It was only picked up once because the syndication deal was so amazing. It will not be continuing after the second insanely long season.
