Acer is a very neat and cool name for a cat. I would have never thought of that one myself...nice pick, Tom!

Cant take the credit for it, my wife named him. Its because he is maple colored and Acer is the genome name for maple.

^ AFAIK, the word 'acer' also means 'steel' in Spanish.

Maybe that's where my sister got the idea for the name.

No it doesn't. At least, not in the Spanish I grew up speaking (from Mexico). It means, "to do." Example: Yo voy a acer algo." "I am going to do something."

Just snapped this in central Södertälje on my way home. Rushed pic with basic PP, not quite my usual quality.

EDIT: For the record, the writing on the wall reads; "In the struggle for peace."

Well, this is embarrassing... I washed him and he sorta...uhm...shrunk.

*GF's voice from the living room* "Told ya! 90 degrees was too hot!"

It horrible, ain't it? You buy toys and crap for god knows how much, and they can amuse themselves for weeks with a bloody cardboard box.

You only buy toys for your first cat.

Yep. I bought my cat some toys and a bed. She played with the toys for maybe 3 minutes and was terrified of her bed (which was basically just a big pillow, so I don't know what the deal was there). I now spend about $10 a month on food and litter for her, and it's more than enough to keep her satisfied.

Before I hacked off all my hair. Taken in my freshman dorm room. It had been longer, but I cut off about 6 inches my senior year of high school to even it out:

Wow, you had amazing hair the stangequark! But I have to say that I absolutely love your new haircut. The pixie cut is adorable and frames your face really well.

I wish I had the courage to cut my hair like you did. (Well, not a pixie cut, I don't have the face shape for it...just something different...)

You have great hair either way. It must be nice to be able to carry off both extremes so well!
