It seemed like half of the female Starfleet extras had an odd hair style with their hair up. Better than the bee hives from TOS, but still kind of odd. Anyone know what to call it?

One of the extras has a haircut like one of the future atheists with the inverted plumbing helmet in South Park. Thought it was both very cool and hilarious.
Bowl cuts are the signifier for Vulcans - bowl cuts with V shaped bangs are signifiers for Romulans. Maybe the funny female hairdos are the signifiers for nuTrek? Like Uhuras best, though
