I love the first one, and would love to see a sequel.

I have seen it so many times I think it is one of the dumbest movies ever made.

One of the best movies ever, for reasons I will never understand. I'd watch a Twister 2 3-D

I love that movie with an irrational love. I would totally see this, but I'd be afraid they'd somehow spoil it. The first one was just perfect the way it was. (Even with all the nonsensical stuff. Actually, ESPECIALLY with the nonsensical stuff. "Who are these people?!" :guffaw:)

That movie was just silly but I loved it. I think a Twister 2 is about a decade or more overdue to the point that one now would just seem like too much of a gimmick. Doing one now in 3D could be interesting but it'd still need a decent action story to pull it off and it'd need to be the "depth" 3D that works and not the "jut things into the camera and out into the audience" shitty gimmicky 3D that's popular.

On the subject of Paxton movies, a 3D Weird Science remake would be a thousand times better. Best part of Avatar was Michelle Rodriguez, running through the hallway, in 3D... :techman:

Helen Hunt in 3D would've been awesome when the first Twister came out. Now, not so much.

That would be awesome. I was just watching Twister the other day and wondering why they never did a sequel. It seems like there's a lot of potential and many ways the story could go.

All the cast is still there, so I don't see why not. I adored the first movie, and have it on Blu-ray. 3D would just be awesome.

The 20th anniversary is in 2016. That gives them plenty of time to write a good script and film and use the best possible graphics & 3D technology.

OMG, I so hope this happens, and PLEASE to be setting it in the Ozarks!

Bah, the first one had nothing to do with the classic party game.

Considering that Paxton has been proving on Big Love that he's A Real Thespian(TM), I gotta wonder why he thinks a brainless action flick is a good addition to his resume?

I recall Twister vaguely as a film exploiting the CGI vogue of the 1990s, like every other film back then. It'd be a fitting tribute to cash in on the next big thing for the sequel.

    Maybe he wants a yacht?

His Big Love salary should buy him a few yachts. He prolly just wants to have fun.

He also said in an interview once a few years ago that it was one of the most fun shoots he'd ever done.

I could see it being that. He's been doing a lot of heavy dramatic stuff the last few years. He might just be looking for a fun action romp, and getting the twister band back together appeals to him.

I, too, have an irrational love for Twister. Is it silly or even dumb at points? Yes, very much so. But it's so damn FUN!

I would love to see a Twister sequel in 3-D. A friend of mine from college would die and go to heaven if this happened.
