Not canon but Star Trek Online retconned the Schisms aliens into being One and the same as the Silent Enemy aliens. In the game they get the Name Elachi who are allied in secret with the Tal Shiar and serve the Iconians to prepare the Galaxy for their return.

Not if it sounds just worse than it is, but in the game it works surprisingly well.

Sounds interesting. I've never played Star Trek Online, but maybe I should.

Most definetly Sheliak. I wonder of they were an inspiration for the Shedai from the Vanguad books.

Personally, I wish they had made fewer races (maybe with several subcultures to compensate). It would've made it easier to expand upon each. But with 150 members in just the Federation, you're not likely to ever see all of them, much less learn about them.

Would definitely like to see more of Andorians/Tellarites in the 23/24th century. Loved the trip to Andoria in Ent season 4 and would like to see something akin to that.

I liked the ancient nomadic hunter based Hirogen. Their species was so unique.

Surprised no one's mentioned Species 8472.

    I'll consider it.

Not sure I agree with that.

Malcorians - It would have been really interesting to see more about a culture on the verge of warp, to see if they ever did venture out and make first contact.

Ocampa. I'd really like to see what happened to them without the Caretaker.

They were considered useful enough to be a big part of Star Trek Online.

Actually, I'm sure you don't agree with that. ;)

Oh, they can have their uses. They also used them in Armada II. But I found the invention of a "more powerful than the Borg" species for "Scorpion" to be contrived and boring. My opinion, as usual.

Heh, the last line of Dragon's Teeth:

Janeway "I think we'll be seeing them again."

    Writers: "Nope!"

I'm glad they didn't bring back the Vadwar. The idea for the Vadwar could have worked but it was poorly executed. It was the sort of thing that might have worked if the show was more serialized and we had already gotten some historical priming.

I think what would have been awesome is to see what happened to the Vidiians after the phage was cured. To see them pay the price for centuries of harvesting people's organs as they're trying to rebuild their once-Federation like society.

Andorians - I'd love to have the 4 sexes made canon.

Bolian - You see them everywhere, but we don't know that much about them.

Ocampa - Post-Caretaker would be pretty interesting to look into.

Sheliak - An interesting species we unfortunately never got to see again.
