Brilliant, Dynamic weather and day and night, more games modes and bikes........and its free. Can this games Dev's do no wrong.
What I'm really looking forward to is the Trophy patch for Burnout Paradise. This update should be fun too though.
I haven't played "Paradise", but the "Burnout" games for PS2 were pretty excellent. Everything I read about this one just sounds better and better... I think this is gonna be a purchase soon coming.
I put 10 games up for sale a couple of weeks back, Burnout Paradise was one of them. Thankfully no one bought it.
Really liked the demo, but Burnout still costs 60 bucks here at retail, I'm waiting for it to hit PSN at 30, then pulling the trigger, yum!
Well, I've been playing the bikes upgrade quite a bit (about 8 hours) since it came out on Thursday and I definitely enjoy it. I've already completed my bike license and I've also almost completed all the road rules. After that I'm gonna go back to doing online freeburn challenges (I've already done about 12 of them). So yeah, not bad for a free upgrade.
So I bought a new Xbox 360 and was transferring stuff over, and the McQueen DLC I had downloaded for Burnout Paradise is no longer offered as DLC. What gives??? And since it's over 300MB, there's no way I can stick it onto the 50MB memory card! Arrggh!!
Did it disappear from your download list as well? I've noticed that stuff is disappearing from Live... but I wonder if it was just rolled into the Bikes patch?
Yeah, it's not on my download list. There were two Guitar Hero III downloads that were no longer on my list either -- the Dropkick Murphys pack and Aerosmith's "Dream On."
Okay, I guess what I was calling McQueen is actually the Cagney Pack (McQueen, Cagney, Bogart... same difference). I can't transfer it to my new 360 because the transfer kit will erase everything and my memory card isn't big enough. Anyone know why it's no longer available for download? Is it included in the bike pack or another game update?
The problem with the transfer kit is that it'll erase the HD I'm moving stuff to. And everything except that one Cagney Pack is already on there. It doesn't transfer select items -- it's a full erase and exact duplicate.
So how are the bikes in Burnout Paradise? I picked up the game when it came out, but I never really played it...I'm more of a fan of Burnout 3: Takedown. I see how the bikes would have an advantage of speed, but how do they handle crashes? Do the people on the bikes fly off or something?
The bikes are quite a lot of fun. There are a few problems though: - there are NO bike races (so all you can do is race against the clock) - bike crashes suck (rider disappears, bike just sorta falls down)
