Thats why they hired Batman. He can make a sequel to any film. If he has enough time to prepare.

Yeah, he totally shot himself in the foot with that.
Should just have left it alone at Superman Returns.
Although the Green Lantern sequel announcement also fits.

^The article is over a year old, from before GL was released and performed poorly at the boxoffice.

A sequel for "Green Lantern" has neither been confirmed or denied by Warner Bros. I'm sure they are still thinking about it. We probably won't know for a while if they will green light a sequel. The reportedly started working on the script Winter time of 2010. As for the Man of Steel sequel article, I seriously question that and the writers mentioned.

If Man of Steel is a success we'll get a sequel. If WB is currently liking what they see then it makes sense they would be starting to think about it. It happens all the time. It's a no-brainer.

^ I'm not doubting that a sequel will get made if "Man of Steel" is successful. I doubt the writers that the article claims WB is on their list. Steve Kloves I believe is apart of "The Amazing Spider-Man" I think and I believe asked to write the sequel for that film. Beacham and Kasdan are certainly possible but why would Goyer and Jonathon Nolan not return? Kurt Johnstad was brought in to do a rewrite a couple months ago.

I'm not sure we will get a Green Lantern sequel although I too would like to see one. Nothing has been confirmed or denied which was the same situation with the question to the "Superman Returns" sequel.

I think we'll get another Green Lantern movie, though I wouldn't be surprised if they take it in a different direction to try and distance it from the first movie.
