^^I thought Chandler's wife died before they made it to Olympia? And if one of Granderson's people figured out who she was wouldn't they also make a deduction at least about the kids as well? Regardless, since Chandler's wife was the first one in the family infected, it stands to reason she'd be the first to die, though really the rest of them should have been near death as well. So I take it this treatment also has instant healing and restorative abilities too?

I think it was a bit ambiguous as to when she actually died.. But I think she's probably definitely dead..

Early on in the episode, it was stated that the actual cure would work as a vaccination as well as a cure, but only if the patients were not too far gone... So it stands to reason (other than for plot convenience) that she would have been too far along for it to work anyway...

Honestly, I don't disagree with any of your logical conclusions; that said, this is a TNT 'high drama' TV show we're talking about in the end; thus since we didn't see her die onscreen and she was a pretty central figure to the lead character of the Captain; I WOULDN'T put it past the writing staff to pull something like that for the 'drama'

I hate those promos for their shows where the cast members (and for The Last Ship it's the Captain) are screaming. It makes the shows seem like schlocky horror.

Is there sound? I FF through them. If there's no sound you could just imagine that he's just breathing really enthusiastically.

Yeah, you hear him scream through a filter. It's a lame gimmick.

Titus said they had someone on the inside. Anyone care to wager who that might be?

Up until they took over the ship, I thought it might be the Sheriff.

The guy they were going to assassinate at the beginning of the episode when they couldn't get a line of sight on the chick?

That was the sheriff who shot the crewmember and somehow took over the bridge single-handedly. Definitely not him.

Yes, I know. That's why I asked, because I didn't see how anyone could have thought he was a mole. Especially since the guy wanting to take the shot was the one who had the mole.

Aside from the sheriff and a couple of scientists, have any of Granderson's people really been established? I suspect the mole will be someone introduced in the season premiere who we're just supposed to believe were there all along in the finale.

That was an embarrassing piece of writing on a show that's been otherwise pretty good.

Escaped al Qaeda detainees at Guantanamo? No problem.

Russian helicopters and a cruiser full of sailors? Puhleeze.

    Jungle warlords? Fuggetaboutit.

Barney Fife by himself with a handgun? Holy shit, we surrender!

It's worse than when the Ferengi took over the Enterprise on Riker's watch. Maybe the little girl should retake the ship.

So... are Titus and Co. good, or are they just different flavors of bad?

Waitaminute, waitaminute. So we see Tex's dog for the first time in ages (that I can recall) aboard the ship at the beginning. And then he just takes off without it? And did he check in with Chandler before leaving? So many details abound that these 40-minute episodes (if that, there were a lot of commercial breaks) just don't cover.

Anyhow, that was an exciting ep for sure. Can't wait for next week!

    ... huh?

^ Ah, yes. Quite. Since he was in his cabin I thought for a moment he came from Gitmo, too.
