Its weirdly hot for my area. We're probably in the mid to high eighties (pushing 90 sometimes). We're used to 60s or early 70s, so this summer has been pretty brutal, although it varies from ok to way too hot day to day.

After a ouple of weeks os subtropical temperatures, the meteorologists had informed us that a "normal" danish summer was upon us..... didn't happen.

Still unreasonably nice weather for the season around here; 25 degrees at 20:00 (those are centigrades and the time) and every other night there's a bit of rain.

80 F and mostly sunny, but the humidity is a bit higher than I wish it were. Still, it could be a lot hotter and stickier.

Plus it looks beautiful out there.

Raining yet again. Keeping the Great Dismal Swamp swampy.

65 degrees, mostly clear skies and dry. The light rain showers much earlier this evening gave way to a dry and mild night.

78 F, partly cloudy skies and a little humid, but not too bad. It felt more comfortable out there today than it has most recent days.

To put the meteor in meteorologist, we had a pretty big fireball in Alabama recently
    http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/index.ssf/2014/08/nasa_confirms_fireball_over_al.html

I think there was this other blurb on al.com about what it takes to collect meteorites. Once suggested taking some scales.

Just who has scales lying around the house? Oh, that's right, I do.

here's some of that meteorite right here....let's see-

    snifffffffffff..

Ah...that's some good ALH. Yeah, that's the good SNC..sniff...carbonaceous chondrite...cough. Don't try this at home kids. The nickel/irons are really bad on your septum.

65 degrees and a steady, persistent rain throughout the night. Not that heavy, but more than just a light drizzle. It's cooled off quite a bit.
