I don't know, Shat. But see, the cuteness is just the beginning of it, isn't it? OK, now ... are you ready for this:

Cute Kirk transforms herself into Hot Kirk, all tarted up in a tight, short skirt. She approaches Keeler and Spock, fully aware and expectant of what's about to transpire: seizing the opportunity to
enter STAR TREK into the realm of The Sci-Fi Musical!

SPOCK: (Upon seeing the tarted up Kirk) ... Captain!
KEELER: I got the chills ... and they're multiplyin'! It's electrifyin'!!!
KIRK: (To Ed Keeler) You better beam up ...
    KEELER: I better beam up!
    KIRK: ... because I need a man ...
    KEELER: You NEED a man!
KIRK: ... and my heart is set on you!
SPOCK: But, Captain - the past we must undo.

(Then, all together, dancing to the beam-up point):
    Woo-Hoo-Hoo ... HONEY!!!

Hey!!! You know what? I'm liking this idea ... another good reason for watching!

    2takes, you magnificent bastard. :techman:

Depends on how it's delivered. "I love your shoes" can be a genuine compliment, "I love your shoes – they look so comfy" not so much.

Although girls who really don't like each other often will not beat around the proverbial bush. I had a friend once who in the correct state of inebriation would actually look someone up and down and say "Nice hair, b*tch." Yikes.

If course there's resistance to that, because that's reducing the characters to stereotypical ideas of female behavior, and second, it's out of character: "Where's the logic is commenting on my hair?" :D

Ha! teacake I love the green tunic poster. I still don't understand what purpose it serves.
Kirk all but got naked tonight in my viewing of What Are Little Girls Made Of, and I maintain that he's still looking good. If he's showing off that much skin I don't think anybody was worried about his gut at that time.

It's hardly a gut in TOS, really just a lack of buffness IMO

But I'm partial to Mr. Shatner :)

We'll just give the line to Bones, then. Upon noticing Spock's IDIC beret, Bones will sashay up to her and deliver the line, adding, "... and I love your IDIC, Spock! Where did you get that?" As Spock tries to outpace her, throwing Bones poisonous darts, with her eyeballs.

    Alright, then. Perhaps...
perhaps, an IDIC hair clip would suffice?
How about this? It's only a little one ...

The blonde is incredibly cute, just no getting around that. And though you can't tell it, in that shot, she's got some very beefy thighs. It bugged me alot, that costume didn't lower her skirt, or throw something over them to kind of de-emphasize this fact. But otherwise, absolutely, she was very easy on the eyes. Almost hard to believe she's a great grandmother now, probably ... seeing her there, looking so young ...

I suppose one could call me especially demanding, but I really don't think so. Actresses are supposed to be very photogenic, extremely attractive and built for Sin. I mean, let's face it, there are very few "realistic" looking character actresses under 40, for good reason. Would Jolene Blalock have been cast as T'Pol, if she'd had a butt like a bag of cottage cheese? Unlikely, at best. In fact, most, if not all, of the selectees everyone offered in this thread for a recast Kirk/Spock/McCoy - and all the rest - have fallen into the typical starlet category ...
