is far and away my favorite Trek movie, with numbers IV and VI close behind, so I'm inclined to think Meyer made the right calls.
But, getting back OT, I do have fond memories of that opening night in 1979. It was great to have Star Trek
back . . . and to see it in a theater full of enthusiastic Trekkies
