Re: JD's Comic Book Thread
Started reading Saga Vol. 1 just a few minutes ago. I'll post my thoughts as I go along.
I'm only a couple pages into it, but it the relationship between Alana and Marko already seems like it should be fun.
I finished the rest of it last night and posted my thoughts on Shelfari:
My Shelfari review wrote:
I finished this last night, and it was as awsome as everyone said. It has great cast of well, written very unique characters. I think for once pretty much all of the major characters are awesome, which can be very rare in this kind of stuff. Brian K. Vaughn's dialog is great. It's got a lot of humor, and a bit of snark, but it doesn't go to overboard. I love
the Fiona Stables artwork. Great execution, and great designs.
It also has the start of what seems to be a great new Sci-Fi/Fantasy Universe, with a quite a bit of interesting world building going on alongside the main story.
My rating: 5/5
Over the course of many encounters and many years, I have successfully developed a standard operating procedure for dealing with big, nasty monsters. Run away. Me and Monty Python.
