But isn't Batman (at least the '60s version) supposed to be groovy? (or something not-ordinary; I was too young in the '60s to really understand a lot of the slang that was used at the time)
Yeah, but this was in the eighties!
An editor saved me from embarrassment once. I was describing a Middle Eastern camel market and what I should
have written was: "The men were more interested in the camels than the women were."
But what I actually
wrote was: "The men were more interested in the camels than the women."
I sent my editor a thank-you note for catching that!
