Re: 6 reasons we’ll miss Winamp
MacAmp was my first MP3 player (back when I had a PowerMac in college), and I immediately went to WinAmp as my player of choice when I switched to Windows in grad school. I've never been bitten by the iTunes bug; all my MP3s come from CDs that I either purchase (yes, I still occasionally buy a few!) or borrow from friends or the public library to rip, and WinAmp was basic, unobtrusive, and let me do what I wanted, not what it wanted.
