That's a great moment. Mark Lenard really sells how hard it is for Sarek to speak in more emotional terms--but how far he and Spock have come since "Journey to Babel."
He accepts his son's more human sentiments without criticism, even if he can't quite lower his own Vulcan reserve that far.
Agreed, Greg. He shows it even more so in the next lines, where Sarek asks Spock if he has a message for his mother, and Spock says "Tell her I feel fine". Lenard's non-response shows both his reticence, and his understanding.
