oh, he comes off a little funny for sure, but once you get over him constantly talking about cheese, salad, moss, etc. it's actually very good commentary, and usually pretty insightful. From a pitching perspective, he really gets a lot of what's going on out there, which is helpful and interesting. Sounds corny at times, but once you accept the vocabulary, it's pretty good.
And honestly, they don't sound any different calling the As/Tigers game than they have calling the Red Sox games, so they come across pretty well and not so much a couple of homers. No John Stirling, anyway
