Re: Downton Abbey ITV1 22nd September 9pm
I don't mind that relationship. Edith is finally in a genuine relationship and she deserves that, although the fleeing to Germany part is a bit much, I admit.
As usual, Maggie Smith was running on all cylinders. I died of laughter at "It's the job of grandmothers to interfere." Seriously, I could watch The Adventures of Violet, The Dowager Countess of Grantham and leave everyone else behind (even Mr. Bates and Anna).
The thing is I would not mind Edith new man except she does not seem all that in to him.
When he said I loved you she did not say it back.
I do wonder if Maggie sometime writes her own lines she gets all the best ones.
Malcolm on Star Wars: "The one about the fucking space hairdresser and the cowboy. He's got a tinfoil pal and a pedal bin. His father's a robot and he's fucking fucked his sister. Lego. They're all made of fucking lego."
