^ I understood his choice, I just don't respect it.
A man spends every day for months on end looking at casualty reports, watching friends of his die daily. Even the coldest person would want to put an end to the blood-letting.

Like Garak said, it cost the life of a Romulan senator and his guards, the life of a convict and the self-respect of a Starfleet officer. Like Garak, I consider it quite a bargain.

In a simple cost vs. benefit analysis, Sisko comes out ahead.
Like I said, I understood it. The benefits clearly outweigh the costs.

And really... I dislike the notion that every time a human does something bad it HAS to be Section 31. The novels especially tend to take this too far. Forbid the whole race isn't perfect and anyone that isn't just has to be part of the Axis of Evil.
It's a cheat to blame it on Section 31, I know, but they have always been Starfleets way of having their cake and eating it too.
Save the log entry? Are you nuts? A log entry can be hacked easy enough.
That's where Section 31 could come into play, deleting the file.
