Please don't put words in my mouth, as I claimed no such thing. The only "standard" I cited was the fact that a 2/3rds majority of reviewers here gave it a positive rating; this is an indisputable fact.


Further, bear in mind that I cited this fact simply to point out to JD that he may well enjoy Revelation and Dust once he reads it, in spite of others' disenjoyment. I was not citing this to make any larger argument about literary quality.
