Well, The African Queen was pretty good. The "green screen" (what did they used to call it? rotoscope or something?) work for the rapids & wildlife was pretty obvious, but still, a good story and the leads had chemistry.

Took my nephews out of to the movies last night, they went to see Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters 3D while I went to see TMI: CoB.

Fourth movie I've paid money to see this year.

Jared Harris was pretty cool as one of the supportin' adult characters, but there was a lot of ground to cover to set up the rules for the mythology, and the endin' seemed to go on too long. There was also a subplot about the "mundane" (normal) guy, but it got dropped. I stuck around waitin' for a bonus scene or something durin' or after the credits, to see it if was used to set up a sequel, but nothin'.

Still, angelic demon hunters allied with werewolves fightin' with vampires & monsters...seems like a cool idea. Too bad the majority of the cast were teenagers in leather goth gear.
