. But given the savaging by critics I was expecting a train wreck, I have to say I enjoyed it a lot and I had the biggest grin on my face when the William Tell Overture kicked in.
But did you read the reviews before you went to see it? As you said it's been savaged by the critics so if you knew that going in your expectations were low. So perhaps all it could do was suprise you. The opposite is true if a film has rave reviews/hyped etc.. you can go in expecting a truely great film and be dissapoined.
On the continent of wild endeavour in the mountains of solace and solitude there stood the citadel of the time lords, the oldest and most mighty race in the universe looking down on the galaxies below sworn never to interfere only to watch.
