Going to plug the Summer of Valiant pt.II that just kicked off last week at your LCS.
Kicking off the new Valiant is dipping into their Acclaim years.
Quantum & Woody #1
debuted last week as the July title. Written by James Asmus and drawn by Tom Fowler.
Bloodshot & H.A.R.D. Corps
With such a solid first issue, "Quantum and Woody" is poised to be yet another critically acclaimed hit for Valiant comics. In a very short time, Valiant's line seems determined to bring readers smart, fun comics with talented creators -- comics that operate just slightly outside the corporate comics box, to the benefit of all involved.
Spinning out of the mini-event, Harbinger Wars, the Bloodshot title is undergoing a change to Bloodshot and The H.A.R.D. Corps
. They debut regularly at issue #14 in September, keeping the numbering from the solo Bloodshot title. The HARD Corps are an original VU team from the mid-90's who were called back into service during the Harbinger Wars after being in retirement. Co-Plotted by Josh Dysart and Christos Gage while being drawn by fairly newcomer Emanuela Luppacchino. Her work on Archer & Armstrong was fantastic.
Eternal Warrior #1
coming early September, written by Greg Pak and drawn by Trevor Hairsine.
Across ten millennia and a thousand battlefields, Gilad Anni-Padda has traversed the darkest, most mysterious corners of history. But the horror and bloodshed of constant warfare has finally taken its toll on the man myth calls the Eternal Warrior…and he has abdicated his duties as the Fist and the Steel of Earth for a quiet life of seclusion. But when a blood vendetta from the distant past suddenly reappears in the modern day, he must decide if he will return to the ways of war…for the child who betrayed him thousands of years ago...
And since this may be the only opportunity to tweak the passively curious the Fall title is allegedly going to be Ninjak #1. Launching November in the slot Shadowman did last year.
Valiant is also doing their first Oversized HardCover in October with X-O Manowar vol.1
, details at the very bottom of the page.
Collecting the sold-out X-O MANOWAR #1-14, the X-O Manowar Vol. 1 Deluxe Oversized HC also comes jam-packed with more than 20 pages of never-before-seen art and extras, direct from the Valiant vaults.
