Thinking of this thread, I had a tuna pizza with onions yesterday evening. It was very good. They put on the onions only at the end of cooking, so they were still crunchy. Bravo.
So...do you use a standard tomato sauce with tuna or is there something else more complimentary? <she asks in puzzlement...still having a hard time getting her own head around tuna on a pizza>
Normal tomato sauce for me. Usually I put mozzarella di bufala
on my pizza, but standard mozzarella is ok too. Other kinds of cheese might be ok, depending on toppings (speck
is a favourite of mine, for example), but they are too strong for tuna, so mozzarella is actually the only choice there.
