''Oblivion'' poster ad

Today this advertisement for the new Tom Cruise film caught my attention......particularly for a statement contained within a separate box, just above the PG-13 rating box. It read, in essense, ''This film depicts use of tobacco products.'' (Not the exact quote)

This might be the first of many new film posters to include this in their ads, or it happened slightly previously. I'm not a smoker, and I have no use for smoking, second-hand or otherwise. But since everybody reaching the age of 13 must know the drawbacks of smoking----

-----AND movie characters have constantly been smoking since at least the '20s and probably even before----

-------is this message even necessary? It's not even worded as a warning. What difference is it making, except taking up ad space?
