So, are we dealing with a situation where multiple ships plummet to Earth? Sounds a tad contrived for more than one vessel to experience such similar fates/near-fates in the same film. Is "April's Gun" a "Fall-Out-Of-Orbit-Beam" of some kind?

Perhaps the reason the "stance" of the nacelles is wider than what we're used to seeing on Enterprise, is that the support struts are simply "sagging" after the secondary hull smashes into Alcatraz?
If Ronald Reagan hadn't cut Mental Health funding to the bone, most of today's GOP & Tea Party candidates wouldn't be walking around loose.
